Words: Meggi / February 21st, 2025 Concert From Moshpits to Mental Health – Alligatoah Deconstructs Berlin Alligatoah’s Berlin concert on February 7th was a masterclass in chaos and satire. Transforming the stage from a sterile office into a scene of rebellion, he smashed the monotony of corporate life—both literally and figuratively. Between explosive moshpits, an ironic "Mental Health Coaching Session," and his signature humor, he blurred the lines between concert, stand-up, and performance art. With a bold mix of metal and pop, plus a playful nod to his most loyal fans, Alligatoah once again proved that reinvention is his greatest strength. Unforgettable, unexpected, and undeniably brilliant. Words: / January 29th, 2025 Concert Chappell Roan is Surfing on Uncharted Waters: Crashing through Lollapalooza and Beyond 2024 was certainly a memorable year for pop music, but one artist’s triumph has been particularly noticeable. If you don’t recognize the name “Chappell Roan” by now, you most certainly recognize several poppy tracks behind her chart-smashing name. Her profound impact was on full display in Grant Park back in August during Lollapalooza. Facing a sea of festival-goers, Roan sang some of her most popular songs like “HOT TO GO!” and debuted Chappell’s most streamed track “Good Luck, Babe!”. The young woman – dressed up like a glittery wrestler – broke history that day, with Lolla representatives reporting that the crowds Chappell attracted were the “biggest daytime set we’ve ever seen”. This must have certainly come as a surprise considering that the budding artist had not been originally destined for the larger stage she ended up on. Though the singer’s career may feel like an overnight success, the performer has been building her career for a decade now. Words: Meggi / November 26th, 2024 Concert Superbloom Festival Munich Ever since its creation in 2022, the organizers of Superbloom seemed to have an easy time getting big names to perform in the city of Beer and Brezeln. The lineup for the 2022 edition featured a wild mix of popstars like David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Jason Derulo, Years & Years, Rita Ora, and Stromae next to rappers such as Skepta, Megan Thee Stallion and Saint Jhn and German fan favorites AnnenMayKantereit, BHZ, Schmyt and 01099. These trends from 2022s booking carried over into 2023, with Imagine Dragons, Martin Garrix, and Ava Max filling the slots for pop, Kontra K, Aitch, and Ski Aggu holding down the Hip Hop side of things while Peter Fox, Trettmann and Jeremias would make sure German artists would not go underrepresented. While both iterations were generally well-liked, some visitors would complain about poor organization and high prices. Words: / October 20th, 2024 ← Newer articles Older articles →
